Residential Support Services · Mid-Missouri
Palmer's Home Care provides individualized residential support across 50+ homes throughout Mid-Missouri. These aren't group homes or institutional placements — they're real houses, in real neighborhoods, decorated by the people who live in them and staffed by trained professionals who show up as partners, not caretakers.
Most residential DD providers in Missouri are licensed to place up to four individuals in a single home. Palmer's Home Care caps every home at two.
That's not a regulatory requirement — it's a deliberate choice made by founder Robert Palmer, based on one conviction: people with disabilities deserve the same quality of life as anyone else. And that starts with the home they come back to every day.
Robert sources new 3-bed, 2-bath homes in established neighborhoods — the same houses your neighbors live in, with driveways, yards, and mailboxes.
Every PHC home includes its own house car — because mobility is independence. Residents don't wait for a van schedule. They go when they want to go.
Two residents. A new home. A car in the driveway. It sounds simple — and it is. That's the whole idea.
When someone moves in, the first conversation isn't about schedules or service plans. It's about them — their taste in furniture, what they like to cook, what time they wake up, which shows they watch.
Daily life looks different for every resident, because it should. Staff are there to support whatever that looks like — not to run a schedule on behalf of the house.
Our Direct Support Professionals are trained in the philosophy behind the care — not just the protocols.
We hire for character as much as credentials. Every DSP is trained in the philosophy behind the care, not just the protocols.
Over half our full-time staff have been with PHC for four or more years. That continuity means residents build real relationships.
Every resident is supported by RNs and LPNs available for medical oversight — backing up the DSP relationship, not replacing it.
DSPs step back when a resident can do something independently, and step in when they're needed. Support, not control.
“They don’t run the house — they support the people who live in it.”
— The Palmer’s Home Care DSP Philosophy
Palmer’s Home Care operates residential homes across a growing region of Central Missouri. We currently serve individuals and families in four counties — and we’re expanding.
If you’re looking for residential services and aren’t sure whether we serve your area, reach out. We’d rather talk than have you assume we can’t help.
Coverage is growing. Contact us to discuss current availability in your county.
Whether you’re a family member exploring options, a case manager considering a referral, or an individual looking for a new home — we’d like to talk.
Reach out by phone, email, or contact form. Tell us about the individual and what they’re looking for in a home.
PHC works with the Missouri Department of Mental Health and regional support coordinators to identify the right placement fit.
Every placement starts with a conversation. We’ll find a home, a neighborhood, and a team that genuinely fits.
Real homes. Real neighborhoods. Real life — for adults with developmental disabilities across Mid-Missouri.
